Jeu histoire (version français) : https://lemondedejoan.forumactif.com/viewtopic.forum?t=349
Avec grâce à Truely de ce jeu provocant et d'amusement ! Smile
Voici dans ce topic la version anglaise du même jeu !

:Star: :Star: :Star: Aller l'anglais ! :Star: :Star: :Star:

How to Play:
You are given 5 words.
The object: to write a short story which includes each of those five words - keeping them in the same order they are given.
Please mark those words in bold within your story.
The challenge: to write your story using as few additional words as you can.
Write prose or poetry, as you like.

The shortest story containing all five words in the right order will "win". That author will supply the next set of five words, and a fresh round begins.

Example of Play:

Words: buildings - reporter - word - another - looked

"Why would Superman need a car?" asked Senior. "You think one day suddenly he can't leap tall buildings? And in Metropolis, he would have to deal with switching his car to the other side of the street twice a week. Then there's the congestion. 'Sorry crime-victim. I would have been here sooner, but Fifth Avenue was at a standstill.'

"And this car is clearly more than a lowly reporter could afford. De Lorean wouldn't have made a car this elaborate. Superman logo tailfins for crying out loud! Just think of the insurance!"

Junior put the box back on the shelf without saying a word---paused briefly---then picked up another.

"A Spiderman helicopter!" sighed Senior.

Junior looked up at his father. "Spiderman can't fly," he said.

"Toys-R-Us Philosophy" by Adam Keeble

Ready? Here are your five words, in order:

mattress - hair - moth - alarm - computer

Be creative, have fun and good luck! Very Happy

I sat on my mattress, and brushed my hair. I could see a moth outside, which wanted to come into my room, attract by the light. The alarm-clock indicated midnight : maybe I have received his e-mail ? I turn on my computer to check.

Hum hum, c nul, mais bon, j'aurais essayé au moins !!!

I was lying on my mattress, humming a little tune and twiddling with my hair when a moth entered my bedroom through the open window. The moth was so beautiful that I wanted to take a picture of it. However, no sooner had I had this idea than I heard the alarm bell ringing. Slowly, I walked and finally reached the door : this was my neighbour, asking me if she could use my computer.

Bon... *fingers crossed* j'ai pas fait trop de fautes ?

Woohoo! Well done, Roxane! Very Happy

Only one small mistake of tense. "attract" should be "attracted".
"I could see a moth outside, which wanted to come into my room, attracted by the light."

Very nice story, Sibylle! Smile Smile

There is one context mistake with one of the needed words. Alarm bells don't indicate someone coming to a door (unless it is a thief who is violating a security system). For a neighbor coming to visit, that person would ring the doorbell.

However, no sooner had I had this idea than I heard the doorbell ringing. Slowly, I walked and finally reached the door : this was my neighbour, asking me if she could use my computer.

However, no sooner had I had this idea than the moth turned into a spider, then, two, three ! I was totally invaded by them. As I was screaming, my alarm-clock rang. Thank God, this was a dream ! Waking up, I turned my face to my computer, and saw, on it, the most beautiful moth in earth. The nightmare was beginning. Again.

My boyfriend and I were lying on my mattress. We shared one of these wonderful moments; you know, when you have the feeling that time has stopped. We were looking at each other and he was playing with a lock of my hair.
But suddenly, an alarm rang. My boyfriend had to leave me. He was invited at a conference about moths. I know, it's weird, but he's a biologist; and he loves insects and all that stuff. I think it is the only think I can't understand about him.
He kissed me a last time and he finally left me alone. I grasped the computer which was on my bed and I began to write an e-mail to my best friend.

Excuse my mistakes!!!

I tip my hat to whoever first discovered that a bird can be eaten after you cook it. But I do not eat the brain of the bird; I toss that into the grass.

hat - bird - cook - brain - grass

Once upon a time, there was a princess who lived in the castle owned by her father, the King of Enyaland. Unfortunately for her, she kept one of the most awful secrets on earth: she was a vampire. Therefore, in summer, she had to protect herself with a hat so that she could go outside without arousing any suspicion. (Indeed, a girl who doesn't go out in summer is not common.) However, in order to not leave several human bodies lying everywhere around the castle, she took animals' blood, and that of birds was her favorite. After sucking their blood, she usually cooked them in order to get rid of any proof of what she had done. She didn't like cooking them but she was compelled to, even if the idea that they could feel what she did to them, as they also had a brain and were sensitive to pain, was too horrible to bear.
Still, one day, the princess forgot to cook the bird and her father discovered its body in the kitchen and with it, the truth. He pursued his daughter, crossing the perfect grass of the castle, the perfect forest around the castle and the perfect beach around the castle. Too afraid about what her father would do to her, the princess asked the devil to let her die -- again. The day after, the king discovered the body of her daughter and promised to take revenge on the one who had bitten her.

Once upon a time a princess who lived in the castle owned by her father, the King of Enyaland. Unfortunately for her, she kept one of the most awful secrets on earth : she was a vampire. Therefore, in summer, she had to protect herself with a hat so that she could go outside without arousing any suspicion (indeed, a girl who doesn't go out in summer is not common). However, in order not to let several human bodies lying everywhere around the castle, she took animals' blood, and birds' one was her favourite : after taking (or sucking) their blood, she usually cooked them to get rid of any proof of her difference : she didn't like cooking them but she was compelled to, even if the idea that they could feel what she did to them, as they also had a brain and were sensitive to pain, was too horrible to bear.
Still, one day, the princess forgot to cook the bird and her father discovered its body in the kitchen and with it, the truth. He pursued his daughter, crossing the perfect grass of the castle, the perfect forest around the castle and the perfect beach around the castle. Too afraid about what her father would do to her, the princess asked the devil to let her die -again-. The day after, the king discovered the body of her daughter and promised to take revenge on the one who once bite her.

J'ai corrigé quelques petites choses comme tu me l'avais demandé, mais je ne suis pas sûre que ce soit plus juste pour autant! Laughing On attendra le verdict d'Aaron...

Sinon, l'histoire est vraiment géniale! Quelle imagination!!
